The 600 million port augusta renewable energy park is a hybrid wind solar project which will be completed in two stages. The project has changed its name to bluebush solar as it is no longer linked to the port augusta renewable energy park. Dp energy submitted a development application to the south australian state commission assessment panel and received sa government approval for the project in july 2018. Dp energy has partnered with spanish renewable energy giant iberdrola to build stage 1 of the port augusta renewable energy park.

The first stage will comprise of approximately 220mw of wind power as well as 150mw of solar power. Dp energy is partnering with iberdrola to build the port augusta renewable energy park. The 500 million project will begin construction mid 2020 and take approximately 18 months to build. Iberdrola is a world leader in wind energy and will use dp energy s port augusta solar and wind farm project to make its debut.
