Ceramic tile can be drilled with a carbide bit while glass and porcelain call for a diamond tipped bit. Standard drill bits don t work on tile but not to worry. Have the right bit for ceramic tile. Porcelain requires a diamond tipped bit.

Normal masonry or tile bits wont work. Slow and steady wins the race. This video explains how to drill into porcelain stone or ceramic tile using a dewalt 20v. The diamonds create friction and rub through the tile.

Really when you re drilling through porcelain or tile the bit isn t actually drilling at all.
